Are you looking for an easy and delicious way to improve your health?
Why not try substituting that high calorie – or sugar substitute – drink with Infused Water?
It only takes a few moments to prepare and you can use fresh (or frozen) fruits and vegetables.
You can target your drink to address specific issues too – as the health benefits vary based on the ingredients you choose.
The first time I heard of “infused” water was when my friends were sharing the great experiences they’d had with drinking lemon water first thing each morning. They were excited by their new energy level and general feeling of better health.
Then my grocery store started to sell their own brand of bottled water with slices of lemon, watermelon, or cucumber in it. They started flying off the shelves!
So I bought a few infusion bottles (they have a little “basket” in them that hold the fruit pieces). My favorite, so far, is a combo of lemon and blueberry/strawberry. The nicest thing about the infusion bottles is that while I’m away from home I can simply add more water to the bottle! Sure, the flavor lessens the more times you refill, but I am still getting more benefit than plain water! (And I’m less likely to buy a soda or other high calorie drink)
How to make fruit infused water:
Start with slices of fruits or veggies. (Remove the rind and skin from citrus fruits so the water does not become bitter)
Place the slices in the bottom of a pitcher (or into an infusion basket)
Fill at 1/2 to 3/4 full of ice
Add water to fill the container.
Refrigerate for 1-4 hours.
Of course you can add more water as you drink it. Keep in mind, though, that the fruit will deteriorate. Citrus will last a bit longer than, say berries or melons. Personally, I choose to change the fruit every day.
Also – Dark fruits can “stain” the water, if you are looking to create a picture perfect drink use FRESH (not frozen) berries, and add them to the water (vs pouring water over them)

I truly love sharing what I learn with you. Watching someone have an "a-ha" moment is one of the best things in life for me.
Because I am a consummate "student" - when I find something new and interesting, I really dig deep. I study hard and then I use what I've learned to help others. (Yeah, I have gathered together quite a toolbox!)
I truly do believe in the power of "Jump Starts" and the ability everyone has to "get un-stuck." If I can do it, anyone can!

I believe that every human is unique and valuable,
even if they aren't able to recognize it themselves.
I believe each and every one has the power to create a great life
once they recognize -and accept- their value.
Even as a child I've been able to help people change the way they see themselves - helping them move from a "victim" to an "owner" mindset. I help them to gain self-confidence and recognize their strengths. I've discovered that it's only when you do that, can you "get un-stuck" and "Jump Start" your life.
What drives me is helping others to succeed, to be a support system while they are taking steps toward their dream, and to watch them celebrate their victories.
The Biggest Lesson I've learned is the power of your mind. It truly does create and destroy.
It was quite a shock when I realized the power that my mindset played in every part of my life - good and bad. Discovery wasn't enough though, it still took me decades to harness this power, learn to control it, and develop a system to help others master this in a fraction of the time it took me.
Taking responsibility - even for how others treated me - was one of the hardest adjustments I had to make. To move from Victim to Owner mindset was not only difficult, it was, at times, scary.
It is a move that I am thrilled to have taken. It changed my life and it can change yours.
